A Trip to the Post Office that Took Awhile

I dropped off some film at the post office on Thomas Street, sending it off to be developed. On the way back, I stopped by to take a couple of pictures of the bison, and then decided to run up to Benton County and take a few photos in that scenic county. I ended up in New Albany on the way back and grabbed a few shots of their pretty downtown. That thirty minute trip ended up taking about seven hours.

I took both digital and analog photos for the first time. It was a different experience, having to wait for some photos while immediately enjoying others. The film I shot that day was a roll of Kodak Ultra Max 400 and a roll of Fuji Superia 400. Actually, the last three in the gallery were photos taken around Wren, Mississippi on the following Monday, but they sort of fit the theme anyway.

When the paved roads end, the gravel roads pick up, and then you run into "two tracks" when the gravel gives out

New Albany has really worked hard at making the downtown attractive - lots of nice places to shop and eat

This old house sits at the intersection of Old Wren Road and Wren Cemetery Road. My friend, Tom Booth, told me that his parents lived here when they were first married.
