West is east . . .
. . . West is east of Interstate 55
Because you have to drive east to get to West from I-55, it seemed appropriate to label this page "West is East".
I started the day in Jackson and then headed home later in the afternoon. After leaving the Capitol, I decided to detour from I-55 at a few places and take some photos of roads less traveled . . .
These photos were taken on or near U.S. Highway 51, which used to be the main road from Memphis to Jackson. On this occasion I took most of the photos in West, Mississippi, but I plan on going back on future occasions to explore other places along Highway 51 that have "faded" a little since Interstate Highway 55 by-passed them.
This was the first time that I combined taking digital images with higher quality black and white film. I haven't developed the film yet, so please standby . . .
